Chris and Jennifer were an absolute delight to do a maternity shoot for, and the day that we had together was one for the books. The pure chemistry between them, and the love that they carry for their soon-to-arrive baby girl was boundless, and every detail of the day was marked by it, all the way down to the perfect weather. When we first arrived at the Sutro Baths and Lands End, we immediately hit the beach with their sweet puppy, Carl Sagan. As they meandered to the Sutro Baths, we found a spot for them to rest and simply be together (the unfiltered, unposed, and organic moments are my favorite, and this was no exception). We tried, very unsuccessfully, to not get totally soaked by the waves. But, realizing that was impossible, Chris and Jennifer embraced it, and one another, and took to the water! After some gorgeous shots with the sunset, they changed clothes, and we walked up to the trails around Lands End to find a more private place to enjoy transition into the evening. As they sat on the cliffs edge, they spoke to one another about the dreams they have for the baby girl they would be meeting very soon. As we left, the moon peeked out to wish farewell with us to the close of a picture-perfect day (pun intended).
UPDATE: Chris and Jennifer welcomed their daughter, Emerson (Emmy) Elizabeth, into the world on March 3, 2018.
